I'm probably gonna regret only giving this an 80, because it's a lot to take in. But wow did this album really do the leg work to be as musically impressive as it is. I'm not a big tarot card person, but it makes for great concept album material. Compositionally, the album fits its metal style with the lyrical themes and subtleties of each tarot card, even going so far as to write an Alestorm-like song in King of Cups and get Chris Bowes on the track. As predicted I didn't like this album. It just doesn't stick for me at all, I've never liked metal music and to me the music holds very little meaning. A lot of screaming with just a profound lack of anything I could enjoy

It's just not really my type of music. I can understand why people may enjoy it and find it to be a great experience filled with great vocals and lyrics but I enjoyed very little of the project. The instrumentals were probably the only part in which I was happy to listen to, but just everything else I found uninteresting and a drag. I really wanted to enjoy it but not my style.
