Can you feel the sweet warmth of nothingness?
Looking at the two very negative reviews for this album, I felt obliged to write a few lines about this transcendent work of art, masterpiece of one of the most respectable electronic and drone music pioneers. Justice must be done.

Trilogie de la Mort is a meditation on death. There is no going around that. It's mournful and ever so bleak in its deeply textured and ominous drones. Despite this, it feels so conclusive. There is no haunting sensation lingering past its end. It’s satisfied with death. Has nothing to ask of it or want from it. It is simply a meditation.

There is true peace in fear.
Never has anything else touched me more in music than minimalism. When you become absorbed in the details of minimalist music, you become one with it. You feel all the details and the little changes inside you. It's an emotional rollercoaster.

for a drone album this is incredibly motive, every oscillation and pulsation feels like the ebb and flow of a river. it subtly shifts and carries you to the plane of immanence. the emotional austerity of this album is what lends the album its spiritual impact, because it drowns out all the noise of everyday life and allows a clear headspace to explore and wander within your own sensations and intuitions. there is no 'true' silence, especially in the city, where only masked sounds are revealed ... read more
Very calming and hypnotic, very fascinating too, the drones are so wobbly and subtle and demand your full attention but if you do you'll hear many beautiful details that really make this a worthwhile listen, I'm sure that I'll pick up even more details with more listens which is so exciting!
