One of the greatest hip hop songs of all time
Might be my favourite Kendrick Lamar track, not too sure, but it's definitely up there, and the lyricism is some of his finest works - although, let's be honest with ourselves, almost all his works are fucking fantastic. Genuinely one of the most superior hip hop artists of the last 25 years. Amazing

This song is a lot. It's a laser-guided attack at a white nation that consistently discriminates and ruins people of color, it's an embrace of African culture and black people come from, the institutionalized manipulation of people of color by the removal of opportunities in school and jobs that eventually turns them into the most imprisoned race in the US, and the dichotomy of how much worse it used to be for those of dark skin in the past compared to the present and how much of a shock it can ... read more
