One of Kendrick's best, definitely a classic.
I'm not joking when I say this is VERY VERY close to being my favorite song ever.
"Alright", started as mere album highlight on an excellent album. It spawned into the calling card song for the Black Lives Matter movement and one of the best songs of any genre in the last decade. To Pimp A Butterfly's replay value remains its weakest trait since the music is steeped in g-funk nostalgia but you'd be hard pressed to find a song more current than "Alright", a song that speaks for the decade's political and social problems better than any other.
Catchiest hip hop song ever? Imagine there's a list with hip hop songs that are among the catchiest and this certainly ends up there. Damn, this one's phenomenal. This is one of my favourite Kendrick songs, a true highlight (one of many) off TPAB. This truly is a perfect album all round and so is its predecessor. This is hands down one of my favourite songs of all time, it's incredibly cathcy and jazzy, Kendrick adressed social issues that the black people in America have to face really well, and definetely started a conversation.
