Del tha Funkee Homosapien has, for years, been widely regarded as King of the Oddball Rappers. On Deltron 3030, he unravels an album-length narrative about the titular year, in which he's a superhero named Deltron Zero.

Very few times when I'm listening to an album do I audabley go "this is one of the best things I've ever heard."

Usually my favorite albums have some emotional connection. That's the reason I love them.

But sometimes I just look at an album and it completely shatters how I judge other albums. This is one of those albums. Dan the Automator's production blending into your ears, while Del the Funky Homosapien's rapping captivates you with an awesome sci-fi epic, and Kid Koala adds ... read more

This album is a experience

Nothing like this espically for the late 90s and early 2000s sounded this grand. The beats here feels futuristic and atmospheric that fit VERY well to put into a concept rap album about the future. Sure this album tracklist wise might be a little flawed but i think of somewhat works to make this album feel like a unexpected journey into space. I think this can stand near the very top of the best rap albums of the 2000s along with Kanye and DOOM projects. It's one of the most interesting concept albums in the genre and definitely one that actually hits the mark. The animated futuristic-inspired production also works really well with Del's flow. The world-building is a textbook example of how to build a narrative and sets up an ending that makes the long tracklist worth bearing.
