Good but not outstanding. There're some great melodies and chaotic arrangement.

Best: Desiderata, Tailhead

Mary Halvorson's "Cloudward" fails to capture the brilliance of her live performances. Halvorson's guitar tone, while intriguing, becomes monotonous, lacking the dynamism that defines her work. The album's tracks blend together, creating a sense of homogeneity rather than distinct compositions. One of the most captivating and avant-garde jazz releases I've heard in recent times.

I'm very happily looking forward for the future of Mary Halvorson!
