The best of his 90's content, he arrives with a near-perfect record for devotees, as Neil is in purest form, that somehow also played to the masses and became a hit.

Boy was I glad to reach this album on my discography binge after more than a decade of mediocre material from Neil Young. Harvest Moon is in a sense the second phase of Neil experiencing an artistic renaissance, with the first phase being Ragged Glory.

Harvest Moon is a back to basics folk album similar to Old Ways, but obviously much better. His best 90's material resides on this album, and I'd go as far as to say that the title track is one of his finest tracks, period.
