One of those crossover albums that gets the metal purists angry - they will point to this not being as melodic or technical compared to what the band served up before (maybe), but also sometimes claim it as being less innovative. This just isn't right, 'Roots' combines tribal drumming and industrial tones with nu-metal and hardcore punk type tempos - then plays them through the filter of the usual Sepultura set up (those Max growls, some Kisser solos).

On some days, I like Roots. On others, I prefer Chaos A.D. But no matter what day of the week is, both albums are phenomenal and I luv them equally <3
