As enjoyable as the band’s prior albums have been, It’s Sorted finds the Los Angeles-based trio at peak cheek.
They Might Be Giants if they were millennials with social anxiety just trying to deal with horrors of late stage capitalism

Brief Review: Cheekface really do deserve their ‘americas local band’ with this album, this was such a vibe. Gave me like, Talking Heads / Parquet Courts / They Might Be Giants vibes all across this thing, with the neat spoken word ass singing to the weird ahhh hell instrumentals and quirky lyrics and general millennial sound. This is what this style of indie rock should sound like in 2024, and MAN its such a charming and cute lil project. Interesting stuff!
Not all the charm is gone from this album, Popular 2 taps into the things that make Cheekface great for me, but many of the songs here sound to me like what this band must sound like to their harsher critics. The wit just didn't ever feel quite as sharp here.
Probably sounds like beethoven if your a millennial
It does have a veeery fun vibe however some parts just miss imo and it can really drag down a song.
