You know what, this is actually pretty solid. Still pretty dull at some parts, but it maintains a nice groovy vibe throughout.

This time around, I actually understand why even a Primus fan would find The Desaturating Seven a hard album to like. It's their proggiest effort yet, complete with a goofy concept, some of the band's longest songs ever (two of which clock in at almost eight minutes long), complex instrumentation, and an all-around sense of "wait, what's going on exactly?". They're kinda becoming the new Rush with this album. Some of this even screams King Crimson in a way, and I enjoy it honestly. Also, I do like that this album is 7 tracks long.
