Under The Radar

Willowbank is the great return, the band finally comfortable as a band, heading back to record the follow-up to last year's Yoncalla.

The Line of Best Fit

The sense of place that Yumi Zouma finally seems to have found on Willowbank brings an album that’s bristling with energy, albeit one that does feel overstuffed. And yet, even in the face of that, it’s hard not to be swept away by Willowbank.

Yumi Zouma are still in a league of their own on Willowbank, given how there’s no other artist right now who's as good in merging simple dance floor pleasures with a dreamlike undercurrent. Other than that, I adore this album.
