Where Saturation feels more upfront, II feels more mischievous, a willingness to twist things to their own perception.
Much like on their previous album, Brockhampton brings versatility on every corner of Saturation II, and I think that they’ve even one-upped themselves.
Through two albums this year (and a third on the way), they’re solidly established in their identity as a group. Saturation II is a major step in that development as it confirmed they’re capable of putting out quantity and quality. But trust in a formula will only get them so far.
Overall, the Saturation trilogy is something to behold -- a fun, thoughtful, and unexpected experience from a group of highly creative young musicians -- with Saturation II its standout installment.
BROCKHAMPTON re-tread the same ideas, but with more proficiency and more urgency than before.
Brockhampton offers more of the same with the second installment of their Saturation trilogy, which is fine because the group's sound is still so refreshing and cutting edge.
The sequel is not vastly different from its predecessor, but it is an improvement. Whereas the first Saturation preached self-assurance, the second actually collects on it.
The writing on Saturation II is often witty and revealing, and even when it’s not, each member of the boy band manages to sound enthusiastic.
Brockhampton’s Hip Hop Album. It has great hooks and colorful production...
But it also has Gamba...
This whole trilogy, as a result of the group's determination to scream their brains out and show the world what they're made of, comes off like the perfect conglomeration of their greatest hits. The "SATURATION" trilogy is an outstanding realization of their strongest talents and their might as a unity.
SIMPLY. STELLAR.

I love being called a Fantano meat rider. Reminds me of how gullible I am.
This album is one of the rare instances where the sequel is much better than the first part of the series. Here, the group has a much more cohesive sound, and this is where they were finding themselves as a collective whole.
GUMMY: Starting the album off with beautiful classical music, it reverts to the energy BROCKHAMPTON had carried all throughout their discography. It talks about ... read more
Brockhampton's most overlooked masterpiece, such a consistently amazing album. so many nearly perfect rap songs, from the bouncy bop queer, to the thoughtful and reflective sunny (which should be considered top tier brockhampton.) from front to back this is one of the most fun to listen to albums ever. JUNKY specifically is one of the most impactful songs in hip hop, that is still relevant today. And yet it can still have so many fun/nonserious songs like sweet, swamp etc.
