I seriously adore this album, it's imo one of the most impressive electronic albums i've ever heard. The song White Gum in particular absolutely stunned me, I smiled so hard listening to this track for the first time, like how tf is this shit possible. If you had just randomly handed one of these songs to me without me knowing what it is or telling me anything about it, I would assume it was the result of what would happen if SOPHIE, Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus, Cashmere Cat, Autechre, Rustie ... read more

Chinese Nu Year, upon release, really took me by surprise and introduced me to a whole new realm of electronic music. Since then I've followed Iglooghost pretty closely, listening to any new song he puts out or update he made on this album, which has been talked about almost immediately after Nu Year in 2015.
The brief runtime of that EP might have been its saving grace, because with over 40 minutes of the same bumbly wonky that Iglooghost does best, it does feel a bit bloated. His ... read more

Eclectic as hell! The production is insane and trumps his previous work. The music here leaks odd, buggy noises that prove an exception to those that find electronic music repetitive, watered down, or straight up boring.

Very interesting listen and would definitely recommend, but in the end it's a bit too much for me

Iglooghost is shaping up to be one of my favorite producers of this decade. This is some solid footwork/IDM right here.

Singlehandedly one of the most explosive and inventive electronic records to come out of the entire genre in quite some time. Combining an eclectic and dynamic mix of footwork, trap, hip hop, and anime music with twinkling bells and soaring vocal samples that weave in and out of tracks like a Cubist painting, the whole record oozes energy. Relentless in rhythm and creativity, Neō Wax Bloom is a comically large slap in the face to any naysayers who think contemporary electronic music is just ... read more

The sheer creativity shown on this album is enough to highlight this as an important record this year. Better yet, it's both creative AND well crafted. Although this is a dense musical experience, the album never feels overly-packed or incoherent. Seamus manages to weave these electronic soundscapes that feel playful and inviting. In a way, it reminds me a lot of Oneohtrix Point Never's R Plus Seven, but put through a much more colourful and bassy lens. This album has an insane amount to ... read more

Unique in its delivery, iglooghost presents a unique and bubbly take on electronic music that is a welcome approach to a genre where many seem to be merging to one sound that sells

Despite being a debut, the impressive clash of glitch and bass make me think it came from an established act.

The full-length debut from British electronic producer Iglooghost is the most explosive and impressive electronic music album of 2017. Neo Wax Bloom leaves little room for the listener to breathe with fast-paced and explosive tracks back to back. The record proves Iglooghost to be one of the most promising producers in the electronic music scene.

it's so hyperactive and creative, the only problem I can find is that the longer you listen to it the easier is to spot the method to his madness which he relies to a little bit

I fucking love this album.
There's nothing else I can say about it other than EVERY SINGLE SYNTH AND 808 ON THIS THING MADE ME NUT IN SUPER FAST SPEED.

FAVORITES: Pale Eyes, Super Ink Burst, Big Thief, Solar Blade, White Gum, Infinite Mint, Peanut Choker, God Grid

Probably the most fun release of the year. Iglooghost constructs an entirely new world through synthetic sounds. It almost feels like a modernized 'Peter and the Wolf' as the synths become actors in the narrative. While little repeats on the album, there are familiar noises that create connections between songs. An entertaining record; it remains enjoyable after repeated listens

One of my fave albums of 2017. Bouncy, colorful, energetic, this album floored me.

I swear, nothing else in music sounds like this. The song 'Infinite Mint' has created a completely new sound that I cannot classify. All I know is that there needs to be more of it.

This was my most anticipated album this year, Kendrick might have been the only exception, and it did what I expected, it created a world, took my hand and lead me on this uncontrollable journey of colour, shapes and sound. He still tries to ease you in on the first track but that cuts short as the journey explodes into place. The wondrous worlds that Iglooghost creates are disorienting, and within them as many serene moments as energetic bursts, it’s a crazy world that demands to be ... read more

thank you iglooghost!!! <3 <3 <3! Thiz iz zo fuhkin gud!

I can understand people finding it "irritating" the first cpl times through, but when u get past the initial shock and awe you start to realize the melodic brilliance of each track. There is some seriously beautiful shit here. So ambitious and successful. Listen on headphones with the volume and bass up high (at least 4 $3parat3 timez)

This is an absolute fun and off the wall wonky record. Iglooghost debut album "Neo Wax Bloom"makes a great first impression by me. One of the most creative electronic music i heard since flying lotus last record "You're dead".The cover of the album depicts how this record will sound. The texture and compositions of this record feels so refreshing. The only grip i have with this LP, is that fact that after numerous listens it wore off my enjoyment. This is still an enjoying ... read more

I have no words for this album, upon my first listen I loved it, upon the second listen I was hooked, and by my 4th listen today alone i'm convinced this is AOTY.

The songs are so complex, every time I listen I hear something new to love and appreciate. The production is solid and I cant help but smile and fall in love with each additional listen. This is a happier and more expansive Mutant.

Favorite Tracks: Super Ink Burst, Bug Thief, White Gum, Zen Champ
Least Favorite: Infinite ... read more

Neō Wax Bloom may be a bit difficult to pigeonhole. It's a mash of all the fast paced electronic music that preceded it and some hip-hop, dubstep and Japanese influence as well. It was a fun listen, but I couldn't help but think his sound was like a cute Venetian Snares or an emotionless Lauren Bousfield/Nero's Day At Disneyland.

Stunning release from a talent who needs more attention. His very unique style of production is fast moving but also so detailed and textured. It's almost as if different objects are being thrown at you and one at a time you can analyse how it looks and feel it before it gets fired out of your hand.

The singles alone are proof that his chaotic and loud sound can also be well controlled and incredibly engaging, with tracks like the bonkers "White Gum" hitting you with this barrage of ... read more

Iglooghost's manically energetic sugar-driven debut record "Neo Wax Bloom" opens with the suggestive track "Pale Eyes," perhaps the most subdued piece on the entire record. There's definitely some propulsive energy here as it slowly builds, layering poppy, synth sounds, sax samples, and percussive beats. But after two minutes, Iglooghost kicks into high-gear, as the tracks "Super Ink Burst" and "Bug Thief" move from idea to idea, never stopping to take a ... read more
