the first 3 songs are really amazing but halfway through the album i was a bit disappointed. still a really good record

It can be difficult to get into this project due to the singer's voice being a bit too nasaly and "out of tune". Also the production can be too quiet and raw (the drums sound like a mile away from the rest of the band). Despite all of that, this album is a true masterpiece. The compositions are beyond amazing, the executions are fantastic (I still can't understand how the drummer pulls off some of the rhythms and rhythm changes). Its hard to ignore how angsty & corny the vocals sound, but its also filled with a lot of emotion that properly supports the subject matter of the album. Combine the aforementioned vocals with Neutral Milk Hotel inspired instrumentation, its a hell of a record. Speaking of the instrumentation, I can't get tired of it at all.
