Although one could say this is only a loose 10-track mixtape, Kings K declares a beauty that can only be found in the mess of music, and life.

Best: Sticks & Stones / Does It Feel Like Love Yet? / Danger in the Jungle; Playing with Fire; Rain / Every Branch (Reprieve); Sometimes Phoenix; Safe Retreat; The Beauty Between; Alive

This awesome indie pop mixtape separates itself from the rest of Gardner’s discography with its hip-hop elements, yet it still goes above and beyond in representing the strength and power we have in Christ.

On this excellent mixtape, Kings Kaleidoscope revolutionize their sound, adopting magnificent dynamic contrast, flavorful textures, and a hard-hitting energy that matches their early work in intensity, but with an entirely indigenous sound. Features from stalwarts of Christian rap intertwine seamlessly with bass-laden, shimmering backdrops. It is such a treat to hear Christian artists defy sonic convention for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Such an amazing, thoughtful, skilled album. The mix of their varying genres in funk and hip-hop shines through this mixtape. The collaborations with the different rappers such as Propaganda and Andy Mineo are fantastic. I think this was a great mesh of experimental tendencies while also highlighting their hip-hop and jazz/funk influences.
