As I return to Manchester Orchestra, a band who pervaded my listening as one of my favorite acts as a teenager, everything seems to stand up strong. Their debut, I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child, is their most toned-down and perhaps even sincere album of their entire career, with easily listenable indie rock tunes throughout the track list.

Some pretty decent Indie Emo Rock cuts here, but this record doesn't exactly do that much unique in the genre. Despite the pure raw amount unfiltered emotion the true issue is the lack of original ideas for the most part here, the production is raw for sure but most of these tracks follow the same cut and dry emo rock formula with the same old climaxes we've heard a million times.
