Ovlov (volvo spelled backwards) does an amazing job at capturing the sort of hazy nihilism and existential pain that only a proper shoegaze band can do. The wall of sound effect they have enables them to go hard when needed, and recoil into a sea of haze when it needs to recover.
Dense and intense and you get sucked right in
It’s a cool rock album, but it doesn’t seem to fit the mould in any specific genre, only fleetingly playing part in any single genre. Plus the production is rather rough, which would work in some cases, but in this case, makes it seem very rough around the edges. Still enjoyable in its own right though, just lacking in originality and memorablity.

Standout: Milk
Favs: Nu Punk, Really Bees, The great Alligator
Least fav: There’s my Dini!
