You ask any critic what the hardest thing to write about it and the answer is something that is so emotionally respondent to you that it changes your perception of music. More than boring albums, more than offensive albums. I never can find the words for something that deeply affects me. Hell I've listened to The Mollusk and People Who Can Eat People like 400 times, and I still haven't penned a single letter of what if means to me. This is a really conflicting project for me. It’s slow, a little demanding, and I feel like I need to be in a specific headspace for it.

But when it works, and I’m in the right headspace, everything clicks. Sure, Damien’s lyricism is cringy at times but for the most part it gets its point across. That is, the feeling of sinking into this sadness of being in a failing relationship.

Great folk
