This album embodies the feeling of loneliness like no other, it feels extremely genuine and there's a certain beauty coming from these very simple lyrics, most of it coming from the delivery. Rice's voice carries the album. The songs on this album sound very relaxed. The strings on this thing, god damn, they add a lot to these songs. While I prefer 9 I cannot deny that O is just as good, it feels more calm than 9, it's his most stripped back album.

Randomly seeing that this album becomes 20 years old today, I decided to give it a listen, not knowing what to expect from the album or even Damien Rice himself.
And oh boy, was I blown away from this shit.
