Annie began recording these songs in 1999 with her partner Tore Kroknes. When he passed away in 2001, she didn't think that she wanted to complete the album and stopped recording altogether. I’m sure, that «Anniemal» is the best pop-album of the last decade. Most of all I was shocked by the fact that the album was released in 2004, it is so ahead of its time that it sounds better now than all new pop music! We need you back, Annie!

Once called horse shit by the Pitchfork website in a Robyn comparison, the artistry and grooving facets of Anniemal are consistent extrusions between pretty elegant productions to bingeable songwriting.
