can't help myself. I'm a sucker for Amy Lee's voice and it still gives me the frisson. something about this music still has that sort of backwoods, redneck gothic thing going on around the edges, but it now sounds more refined and polished (in a good way). the remakes are brilliant. this is her peak artistic statement and it stands up pretty well.

2. Never Go Back: A "remake" of a song from their self-titled album, it manages to improve on the original: 4/5

3. Hi-Lo: It starts off slow, with soft vocals from Amy Lee, but eventually, it shifts, her voice becoming stronger and stronger, along with the production; such an enjoyable listen: 4/5

Beautiful reworks. Orchestra and electro flying around Amy Lee's perfect vocals sound powerful. Her melodies, lyrics are with no doubt fantastic and touching. But still looking forward for something completely new.

A rare example where the reworked versions are as good as - sometimes even better than - the original versions. Amy Lee's vocals are absolutely stunning. It does get a bit boring however.
