Romaplasm is a delightful record. I love how theatrical and story driven a lot of the tracks are. His vocal style definitely isnt for everyone, though. Tracks like Yeoman and Abscond have so much charm and Human Bog is heartbreaking.
This album and baths as an artist is controversial for a lot of people because of the vocals. Personally I compare them to sufjan stevens if he did a lot more vocal effects everywhere. There are falsetto's galore in this project. And honestly? I like it! It's unique to me, but I understand if it's offputting for some. Then comes the punchy production both resulting in extremely exciting songs and also slower quieter driftier ones, which honestly both work quite nicely.

Romaplasm sounds like Bath's most optimistic release of his discography. It's energetic and frantic at times with music that sounds more free form and experimental than his previous releases. Will is still able to keep it melodically interesting though. That's one of the best things about Baths. His music always flirts with an experimental sound that lacks a groove but never fully crosses that line. His music is thought out to display an emotion. Great album. One of the best albums of this little bit undistinguished year of electronic music.
