As someone who is a huge McCartney fan but not a huge Wings fan, I can confidently say that this is the best album that they released together.

Light 8/10
Good job, McCartney: even without the Beatles, you have an original sound. This was very enjoyable and I like his voice.
Paul portrays, once again, his extraordinary songwriting skills with a album that sounds fresh to this day
As I’ve worked my way through the music of The Beatles and their various side-projects after they’ve broken up, I’ve said many times that I’ve started to lose interest in Paul McCartney. "Band on the Run" has always been a favourite of mine and most people would agree. At the time the album received overwhelminly positive reviews and even today critics agree when they say this is Paul McCartneys best solo effort. Some songs are not as good as others ("Mamunia" and "Helen Wheels" for example) but the other songs are so damn good they outweigh the before mentioned songs.
