It'll End In Tears is not sure what it wants to be (except for an album seriously ahead of its time, mind you). It's either a lackluster pop album, or a decent ambient album. Some of those droney tracks stun me as if they were heard in the mouths of seaside caves. Others, like the Tim Buckley cover on here, folky as they are, sound starry and suspended in space, equipped to unsettle in the same way that Grouper would decades later.
