The Needle Drop
Viral Florida rap sensation bops fans over the head with his debut mixtape.

While nobody would mistake him as one of rap’s great thinkers, Pump isn’t nearly the meritless insult to hip-hop that his grumpiest critics have cast him as.

Chock-full of trunk-rattling bangers and few egregious clunkers, Lil Pump is a project that confirms its creator's arrival and his place as one of the leading men in the SoundCloud rap scene. Time will tell if Lil Pump will be able to evolve into a mainstream superstar in the mold of predecessors like Lil Uzi Vert, but if his debut is any indication, odds are that he'll be a household name in rap sooner rather than later.

Lil Pump is like a fine wine, and by fine wine I mean E40's Earl Stevens Mangoscato 11.99 at Walmart
If you rate this below 60 then you just dont understand it. Plain and simple.

So yeah that was a fuckin joke but this album has a few songs that go pretty hard and are obviously not meant to be compared to anything other than other Soundcloud rappers. Still very shitty, but D Rose and Boss can be dope.
I regard Illmatic, Madvillainy, and Enter the Wu-Tang as the best Hip Hop albums of all time; three fantastic albums that were each influential for their respective times. I cried for 5 hours after listening to this until there were no tears left, because I realized how ... read more
Honestly, in 10 years time I doubt Lil Pump will still be rapping. In around 5 years he will probably get dropped from his label after hopping onto another trend, ruining the life of another rapper. I feel sorry for him. Yes, he's richer than most 18 year olds and has achieved a lot, but he's going to realise that it wasn't worth it. I can't even be sure if Lil Pump is as dumb as he seems. When I see a dumb tweet from him, like something so brain dead, it feels so fake, like if the label ... read more
It's crazy how somebody only 1 month older than me, this early in his budding career, has already crafted a true masterpiece. The only thing I truly understand about this cryptic masterwork is that I can never truly understand it. This exists on a level of complexity higher than even Lil Yachty's Teenage Emotion, as far as lyrics and orchestration.

As Lil Pump evolves even further, I'll admit I feel pity for the rest of the rap game.

Y'all can try to catch up, but Pump will already be miles ... read more
