Morbid Angel redeem their name with their latest offering, Kingdoms Disdained. The legendary Florida death metal band have thankfully gone back to their roots following the absolute disaster that was 2011's Illud Divinum Insanus, which drastically changed their sound beyond recognition. However, this ninth album restores their classic ferocious intensity, thanks in large part to the return of vocalist/bassist Steve Tucker.
Not bad at all. Id say this album is underrated, despite still being one of their worst albums.
Not Illud Divinus Insanus levels of bad, but still a long ways to go before the band is anywhere near their peak again. Songwriting is okay at best and the mix is downright questionable.
I have to give this band props for releasing a solid comeback after such a bad album. This is just a really good death metal album about it, I can't say much better about it though. But hey don't skip out on this like you should their last album
