A perfect anthology of The Cure's early years (1978-1985), especially the CD version (Staring at the Sea), which have 4 album tracks alongside the 13 singles compiled in the LP version (Standing on a Beach). A chronological journey through the many faces of the band: pop punk (tracks 1-4), post-punk (5-10), synthpop (11-12), jazz (13), psychedelia (14) and alternative rock (15-17).
From the absurdity of "Killing an Arab" to the prayer of "A Night Like This", these singles sculptured my psyche.
I can't be ignorant!
I can't escape myself!
I will always be grateful...
