This one sounds a bit dated to my ears, plus Prince's delivery is almost like he's holding back. Mind you, I wasn't looking for his yelpy high notes to invade this record, but still, it lacks in vocal dynamics to the point where it bothers me a bit. Maybe it was just a mather of my expectations not being matched.
In spite of this, there are some nice instrumentals with insterestingly funk influenced vibes on some tracks, and it helps to paint a portrait of Prince's evolution.

With a half-naked picture on the cover, he doesn't just promise to be sexier but he also molds his music so as it serves his goal.
