Bro is going for it on that cover

Soundgarden’s sophomore album tends to fall into the same vibe as their debut, but with better production. I still think the vocals can be a bit wacky sometimes, and I still don’t necessarily think this album sticks out quite as much as some other grunge records. It’s not a bad time though at all, it’s all nice on the ears and there are some fun riffs every now and then. I think Ugly Truth is actually pretty great as well. I still just ... read more

(I'm rushing while writing so bare with me) I'm re-reviewing this sadly because it has completely grown off of me it's still a good overall project that gets overshadowed by its future one's but if your planning on getting into sound garden I say that this is a must-hear album due to the the production which makes it stand out from it's other projects besides Superunknown which is one the best sounding albums ever made but ya check it out first if your getting into soundgarden

You can perfectly hear how they evolved their style from this album to badmotorfinger and superunknown, it has the trippy and heavy sound you'd expect from soundgarden but way more stripped down and raw. I'm honestly surprised how much Chris developed his voice aswell, because even though it sounds weak compared to later albums its still a great singing voice in general. A beast of a frontman.
