Wonderful musicians with a plethora of arrows in their musical quiver coupled with one of the most enviable voices in the rock world, it’s hard not to be impressed with “Vale”, even if it’s not quite what you were expecting.

The Guardian

Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy riffs now nestle happily alongside hard-rocking, pop-punk breakdowns and a whiff of One Direction.

Easily their most pop-oriented release to date, Vale finds Black Veil Brides completely jettisoning their metalcore past, and while they may have lost some bite in the transition, it kind of suits them.

Even if BVB isn’t the best thing you could go to for their brand of hard rock, Andy has a unique enough voice and they’ve distanced themselves enough from the super edgelord aesthetic to make them somewhat believable in their music but they still get bogged down by that aesthetic’s tropes. Todo lo que veo en ‘Vale’ es cliché. Black Veil Brides tenía una valiosa oportunidad de superarse a sí mismos y hacer a sus detractores retractarse de sus opiniones. Canción Favorita: Our Destiny.

Jot Notes:
It's not bad, it's just the same. Most songs have the "Woah-oh-oh", and their sound has become bland.

While sometimes an enjoyable listen, by the end I felt exhausted with their sound, which felt kinda uninspired to me. I really wanted to like this project, but nothing really stuck with me. Probably most interesting thing for me is the insane album art.
