With her second album, Willow Smith opts for a more organic and raw sound. It’s a huge leap in the right direction, as she uses her guitar to channel alternative singer-songwriters of the 1990s.

Willow goes a different (and better) musical direction than her debut album ARDIPITHECUS, even if it means the album flows without any questions or exclamations.

im fucking blown away at this album. she gives me such tori amos vibes. it’s a weird comparison but i feel like she such a strong lyricist in a way. plus the instrumentation and vocals are so quirky and weird it’s enticing
Her voice is more strong and controlled. Now she's exploring a new whole style than the Alternative R&B of Ardipithecus, in The 1st she's deep in Chamber Pop/Folk which does suits her very well.

Favs: Boy, And Contentment, Israel, Oh No!!!, Human Leech, Lonely Road and Romance.
at the speed of a sloth, slowly but surely, willow is finding her lane .

there are some very minor moments i would go as far as to say i enjoyed ,“Oh No!!!” was a surprise that i definitely did not see coming and was rather impressed by .
