The Independent
It’s a thematically consistent (albeit gloomy) set.
The 405
Texturally dense and melodically enchanting Susanna continues to mold stories into intricate tracks. Even when they're not her own, they sure as hell sound it.
The Line of Best Fit
These may be stories that have been told before, but Susanna's gift for invention and narrative embellishment will make you want to hear them again.

Go Dig My Grave might not hit the heights of some of her earlier albums, and is certainly a more uneven collection, but it shows Susanna to still be fascinated by the power of sad songs and in possession of a distinctive, singular ability of re-presenting them.

It’s an eclectic lineup, although Wallumrød’s unwavering approach to her source material means that the differences between post-punk Manchester, 1970s New York, and Elizabethan England are rendered largely moot.
