Sampa is really fuckn underrated. She does fusion of hip hop and southern African music so well it’s impressive. She delivers great lyrics and sticks to an introspective theme, discussing blackness and the inner voice. ‘Bye River’ is a masterpiece on one of the best on the album but ‘Rhymes To The East’ and ‘Casper’ get me excited.
