Gojira Revisited #2
Ok so after a amazing debut album that has one of my favorite metal songs Gojira worked on this next album
is not a hidden secrest that the link is not very great, especially because i feel like it was attempting to sound diferent and it ends up as a kind of fail attempt
altough to be honest the album isnt necesarily bad i enjoyed it when i rehear it i prefered the last album of course but it has some cool moments and some good elements

Does a plain and ordinary death metal album constitute the worst album in a discography? In Gojira's case, this might mean yes. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this album, it is not a high quality album and always feels like it's missing something.
Easily the weakest link in the Gojira discography. This was only their second album, so it makes sense that they didn't completely know what they wanted to do with their sound. This reminded me a lot of the 90s, early 2000s radio metal sound, which in my opinion, hasn't aged well at all for the most part. Based on the 2003 release year, the sound could have been influenced by the mainstream metal at the time. Now that I've finished their discography, I think it's safe to say that I consider The Link to be Gojira's weakest project. It's not necessarily bad, but it isn't nearly as interesting as their other albums.

As always with this fantastic band, their instrumentation is phenomenal. There are so many songs on here that were just elevated to my favourites list just because of their instrumentals alone.
