Felt like 10 hours of Tory Lanez. Nothing unique about this project, just the same old Tory.

His voice sounds the same in every song.

you know you screwed up an album when you don’t have 50 Cent actually rap in his feature

While songs like "Pieces" and "Old Friends x New Foes" are absolutely fantastic. The other songs on the album range from decent to eh to terrible. Tory Lanez has talent, but it isn't on full display on this album.

Favorite track: Pieces

Least favorite track: Skrt Skrt

Memories Don't Die is a series of songs that all feel like Torey Lanez throwing shit at a wall and hoping something sticks. For some reason, he has two completely different sounding voices the entire time. One is his rap voice, which sounds like a poor man's Young Thug. The other is his R&B voice, which sounds like Swae Lee had a poor sex change operation. He does absolutely nothing to separate himself from any of his contemporaries. When your album has a feature from Future and even he ... read more

An album littered with lazy song writing and unremarkable production. The whole album is half-baked and can hardly pass for something to put on full blast at a house party. The whole thing is just all over the place and annoying to get through. Nothing stands Tory Lanes out from the rest of members that make up the hip hop and r&b landscape.

An album definitely in need of trimming. Some quality songs and fun raps hidden in a blur of mediocre-at-best tracks.

Very bland, generic, and unoriginal, but still better than Chris Brown.

Tory Lanez proves on this album that he has no creativity. He just jumps from trendy sound to trendy sound hoping his loud rapping and soothing voice could save the album. They can't. The album is a chore to finish right from the beginning. He doesn't have anything remotely interesting to say across the album. He manages to get a couple of songs right, but on 18 tracks, it's only normal if a few of them are decent. Overall, however, this is a mess from the Toronto rapper.

This album is a slump all they way through the 1 hour plus run time. I really hate Tory's high pitched vocals. The only interesting thing on here is Lanez stealing the flow and beat on Hate to Say

doesn't come short with bangers as the toronto rapper/singer tries to find the peak of his sound but, unfortunate the project doesn't pick a tone so it becomes a cluttered mess taking the light from the few Bangers on here

From time to time Tory will come through with some solid bars, however most of his (rap) lyrics feel like filler. When he sings, the lyrics are almost always generic. Some of his flows sound very Drake-ish and overall the project does have a Drake vibe. Missed an opportunity to talk about his mother's death more. Overall not trash, but not memorable by any means.

Since signing with Interscope Records giant things have improved for Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. Life with scars and the way to sought-after stardom served as a foundation for a new album entitled "Memories Do not Die," further strengthening Tory's multifaceted image.

The album begins with Tory talking about souvenirs in a very broad way. Only in the second track, "Old Friends x New Foes", things start to become more lucid. The song is about an outburst of Troye about his ... read more
