Admittedly, a little cringe at points, but also brilliant at others.

This debut for the emerging prog metal band, Others By No One, showcases technical skill, creativity and passion in an extremely well composed three part saga. The storytelling, mood shifts and complex instrumentals are somewhat reminiscent of Between the Buried and Me or Native Construct. Personally, I cannot stop listening to it.

If you have a hankering for prog but not sure what to listen to, take a chance with Others By No One's grandiose EP "Book I: Dr. Breacher". It is a tour de force of skill, technicality, and talent, showing off great story writing, intense riffs, experimental sections, and catchy melodic choruses. With ObNO's first effort, they have set a bar for great progressive metal that is almost incomparable, and is definitely a front-runner for one of the best albums/eps of the year.
