Even when the songwriting falters, Lissie’s incredible voice elevates Castles. Four albums into her career, she still manages to surprise with her acrobatic delivery.
This album is bloody fantastic. I remember hearing the tracks Boyfriend and Love Blows before the album dropped and was excited for Lissie to try her hand at more of a poppier sound than her last few records. The album combines so many great styles within it, from the ever so beautiful hyperballad Blood & Muscle that transcends into such a powerful climax, to the sweet indie pop track Peace that has such a summery feel good vibe to it.

I like the melodies on this a lot. Lissie also has such a beautiful voice that really shows all the emotions put into the tracks. The production is also really good
