She radiates genuine personality, and her second full-length demonstrates just how well she can bend pop structures to her will and sound fantastic in the process.
God Is in the TV

Everything is bigger, brighter and the rewards are much greater. Someone Out There is a startling revelation.

The 405

With Someone Out There Rae Morris has twelve tracks that stand her in early contention for the most unexpected pop triumph of 2018, and earns her the worthy pseudonym Slay Morris.

Without precedent, Morris is now making music that dives into the unknown, pop that snaps and crackles and isn’t afraid to be strange or awkward. Most importantly, she’s not taking risks just to prove a point: for every daring leap into the unknown, there’s a payoff.
A reinvention that could’ve easily been a disaster, it’s Rae Morris’ commitment and dedication to her new self that makes ‘Someone Out There’ work so well. A fun, full-of-heart pop record that’s 2018’s first big surprise.
Whether tender, triumphant or playful, a newly injected energy pervades, adding an extra dimension to her undeniable vocal talent.
Exceptionally fantastic pop record. Filled with such heart, and heartbreak, emotive and beautiful, it’s something that should really be on people's radar more. Artful enough to please the critics, but also fun and pretty to appease the general audience too. It was honestly quite a triumph of pop music.

Push Me to My Limit 80
Reborn 73
Atletico (The Only One) 75
Do It 70 - work work work
Wait for the Rain 70
Lower the Tone 75
Physical Form 60
Dip My Toe 65
Someone Out There 75
Rose Garden 70
Dancing With Character 73
At first I didn't really like her formula but as the record progressed, it started working quite nicely. Her voice and sound remind me of Ellie Goulding but sonically and lyrically Morris is on a much higher level.
Reborn, Do It (great one), Physical Form (great one), Rose Garden
finally a fine pop album in this dumb pop year.
fav, track: Do it
One of the best pop album of this year, very charming, touching and delicate. The vocals, writing and production are amazing.
