Come to Daddy has been interpreted by some as Richard D. James' sly send-up of the Prodigy's massive hit "Firestarter." If that's the case, it only goes to show how clever the Aphex Twin really is.

All I can say is, it's either gonna freak you out or turn you on (depending on whether or not you've any pedophilic tendencies) and probably make you dance while it's at it.

Acid trip!

At this point, I'm no stranger to Aphex Twin's music. Whether it be his or Ambient works that are soothing / surreal or his IDM / Drill & Bass that can go quite hard, he's capable of doing anything.

This EP goes quite hard, and is at times rather unnerving with its abrasive production & atmospheric structures.

What a grotesque, nostalgic, acidic and dreamy trip!
Aphex tests his level of creativity with each of the tracks, in some demonstrating his most psycho side, his most cautious and beautiful side and, in others, he simply lets his wonderful flow and ideas fly over the songs. Apart from the unbelievable sampling, beatmaking and production for 1997, Richard discovers more diversity of colors and soundscapes in each of his songs in a project as special as this one.
