Fun but deep, the album is one that will make you smile and want to jump on the ride again and again.

Exploring new directions with experimental confidence, an ever-playful BØRNS takes the necessary steps in artistic maturation on Blue Madonna, a worthy and satisfying follow-up for the mischievous Lothario.

The Guardian

Its influences result in a record that is full of hypnotic melodies and easy charm, but you couldn’t claim Blue Madonna heralds the birth of a particularly distinctive talent.

The Observer

There are moments of transporting brilliance, particularly during Iceberg, Tension and Blue Madonna, but Borns’s best work is surely still to come.

His androgynous vocal flexibility and gushing melodies can be distinct, but the lack of meaningful songwriting and emotional depth suggests he has more to offer. Børns musical footprint has been stamped firmly down, but this album doesn’t clinch it.

Second Night of Summer is a catchy standout for me, but overall the album isn’t as memorable as a stroll through Dopamine. Still, there is enough here to qualify as a good time had. I just wanted it to be better.

Definitely a grower for me compared to his debut which was instant. Love the production on this particularly but the lyricism easily falls short in comparison. Lana's additions really upgraded this for me especially when she comes in at the end of Blue Madonna
