Brilliant. "Pale Green Things", in the context of this record, resonates so intensely. tMG may have evolved beyond their lofi roots, but John's songwriting has only matured. The brutal emotional honesty and enigmatic treatment of the topic of abuse is quite simply one of most riveting thematic presentations that I've heard, ever. I know an album is outstanding when it gives me goosebumps each time I listen to it.

The collective continue to incorporate more interesting elements to their music, but maintain their acoustic based sound throughout the record. Many of these tracks feel far more subdued than some of their earlier work, making this record feel a little different from the others. The length is also particularly strong, with no wasted space across the record being felt. One of the groups finer works from my perspective.
