The 405

Scott and Quavo may not be firing on all cylinders for the bulk of Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, but it still served as a gracious last minute gift for 2017. It's already underappreciated.

Don’t expect a structured, meticulous project. Rather, it feels as if La Flame and the Migos leader went into the studio, indulged in the ganja, and all grooviness broke loose.
Consequence of Sound

There is no palpable effort or discomfort on Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, resulting in a perfectly fine album that no one will remember next year or maybe even next month.

The big personalities of both Quavo and Travis Scott are muted on their collaboration, one that feels lethargic even for a victory lap.

The Needle Drop

Huncho Jack is a collaboration between two of the hottest rappers out right now, but the end result is a bit too predictable and uniform.

That’s pretty much the basis of these collaborations. They’re fun for the moment and disposable after the fact. Any criticisms of the compositions or the ambitions of the tape thereonin are pointless, because honestly, nobody cares.

The Guardian

Their often magnetic signature styles veer close to gimmickry here.

Same ole shit
Travis Scott & Quavo created an album that didn't satisfy people's desire of songs on the level of Oh My Dis Side or Pick Up The Phone. Quavo on this album is outshined by Travis's vocal effects and charisma. Though the chemistry is there, the artists involved put out something to hold us over rather than wow us. By no means is this a bad album. It's still a very good and hypnotic listen.

Favorites: Moon Rock, Dubai Shit, Huncho Jack, Modern Slavery, Go

The Ralph Steadman art is iconic. Excellent record.
has some of the best songs of 2017
Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho is an album that had potential, but ultimately ended up being too predictable. While the production is pretty good and the album is mostly banger after banger, Travis and Quavo are pretty one-dimensional and average. There are many highlights, and every song is at least decent and listenable, but as a whole, it could have been more than it is.

Fav Tracks: Modern Slavery, Motorcycle Patches, Saint, Saint Laurent Mask, Moon Rock, How U Feel, Where U From
