The first album from post-hardcore band At The Drive-In is energetic, fast, and sloppy. The songs blur by as the band jams out.
The vocals are really off the wall screaming. They end up being annoying and unexciting as the record drags on.
However, it showed the potential that the band would go on to fulfill.

Energy is key word to this debut, real and rushed, that sounds blur but promising.

It's no Relationship of Command--in fact, it's even rawer and more aggressive. Acrobatic Tenement is At the Drive-In's earliest success, and it stands as an underrated classic.

This album introduces the powerful energy this band is known for, but they try way too hard to be Fugazi on this release.
