It's a shame that Katy's only charting album outside of her work with Little Birdy doesn't make her stand out more. She's indie pop-rock with an electronic influence but the music does little to make her stand out from the crowd. She's a decent enough vocalist but even that doesn't save this. The lyrics also felt a little pedestrian and random at times. I enjoyed Play the Game with its chugging beat the most.
