The fearless Chicago rapper offers her best album yet, with terrific production and a barrage of raps that reveal Elizabeth Harris to be far more than her hilarious and absurdly raunchy one-liners.
The 405

CupcakKe's confidence and complete lack of a filter remain her greatest allies on Ephorize, with the album feeling like an arrival. Queen Elizabeth may have made some noise, but here, she drowns out the competition.

Crack Magazine

Sure, there are few clunky couplets and the album would benefit from a few of the EDM-lite tracks being trimmed. But ultimately Ephorize sees CupcakKe flex like an established pro. Not only is it guaranteed to keep her slurpers happy, it’s an example of an artist in her prime and a brilliantly filthy riposte to an increasingly buttoned-up world.

The Observer
With charged production that flits between old-school hip-hop, futuristic pop and even Latin, at 15 tracks it can feel diluted, but there’s no doubt cupcakKe is a potent MC on the rise.

Despite occasional bouts of underwhelming songwriting, Ephorize is a standout showcase of emphatic cuts laid over a wide variety of sound beds, perfect for pervs and prudes alike to bang.

Tiny Mix Tapes

Ephorize ... is ultimate profanity, a means by which radical self-love and radical inclusion can be realized to their fullest.

The Needle Drop

Ephorize is cupcakKe's most consistent and entertaining album yet.

Spectrum Culture

It’s inspiring to hear someone shout hard truth, but subtlety can hit harder.

Cupcakke Queen of Indie Confirmed
Don't want to say nothing but i'll leave it here

There's nothing wrong with enjoying sex and expressing your sexuality. There are many healthy ways to communicate this topic—however, the only positive found here is an STI test. Focusing on obnoxious shock lyrics and eye-rolling forced social awareness, CupcakKe fails to say anything of value. The best feeling you'll be left with while listening to this LP is a pain equivalent to the burning sensation in your urethra after your partner finally gives you that illusive grapefruit blowjob.
A novelty act.
Reasons why cupcakKe is the true Queen of Rap:

1: cupcakKe could beat up Nicki AND Cardi in a fight. The two of them wouldn't stand a chance even if they teamed up.
2: cupcakKe does not beat around the bush. If she wants to fuck, she says she wants to fuck and then she describes HOW.
3: cupcakKe does not try to appeal to a wider, mainstream audience. She says what she wants, how she wants it, and she does not give a fuck what you think about it.
4. cupcakKe says gay rights
