Unfortunately, Brown is still going to turn some listeners away, no matter how fantastic the production and lyrics are on The Hybrid.
This album art is absolutely horrendous. What isn't horrendous, however, is "The Hybrid" itself. It's a pretty solid debut effort from the soon-to-be-great Danny Brown. The production and delivery isn't nearly as refined as his future endeavors and his lyricism can come off as juvenile at times, but what he pulls off here is pretty damn good.

The Hybrid is a decent debut album from the one and only Danny Brown. There are definitely a lot of things that didn't age well, such as the bare bone production and lackluster lyrics. Favourite Tracks: Greatest Rapper Ever, Exotic, Re-Up, Nowhere 2 Go, Shootin' Moves, White Stripes, Thank God, S.O.S
Least Favourite Tracks: I'm Out, Generation Rx
This album didn’t age well at all, and overall the whole album is severed by its messiness and lack of consistent song structuring, even if there are some ambition shown.
Favorite - Greatest Rapper Ever
Least Favorite - Guitar Solo
The hybrid surprised me with its quality. For being such an early Danny brown project, it has good performances from Danny and pretty great production. The hybrid gives a real taste for what was to come for Danny.
