I feel like sylvan is the type of rapper A LOT of people could potentially call boring or uninteresting, he's not exactly super experimental or unique, the beats he chooses are very jazzy, smooth and low key, I enjoy them but they're never really massively exciting, they kinda remind of the type of beats J. Cole would typically use, but i've always like J. Cole's production a lot so that just doesn't bother me really. Miami-based rapper Sylvan LaCue has been making waves with his vivid storytelling and highly versatile rhyming chops for the past few years, ever since the release of his critically acclaimed 2014 mixtape Searching Sylvan, leading to incredibly positive reception by specialized publications. Listening through this record so far has been dope. Shout out of BuffaloStaple for reminding who this artist was. His previous name QUest was when i was familiar to his work, when deadendhiphop shout out his "Searching Syvlan" record. I was always impressed by him detailing his personal stories with some sharp lyrics. Anyways, i wont give a rating as i'm still getting through this.
