I understand that Drake, Rihanna, and Beyonce are important figures in the 2010s...but holy fuck is this list tailored to those three in particular

Don't get me wrong, it's great that Grimes is 2nd, but honestly Kill V. Maim is far better than Oblivion.

No Bored in the USA feels like a big miss. Nothing from Carrie and Lowell is really surprising; I get that the album is really cohesive, but 4th of July or Death with Dignity or Shadow of Cross all would have been fine picks for a top 40 slot or so. Nothing off Benji also surprising, though they hate Kozolek now. Also they gave RTJ AOTY in 2014 and didn't feature a single song from either artist or the group. I think that trap (and rap in general) was a little oversaturated here.

Ngl, im fine with this list. Obviously missing some notable artists but nearly every song I’m happy with. It is a bit safe tho, but good list p4k ngl
October 7, 2019
no Anderson Paak also surprising. I kept expecting to see ither Chum or The Mint from Earl as well. Lot of Future songs. Lot of Rihanna songs. Adonis probably should have replaced a Drake song. Nothing from FlyLo though I guess he's more of an album artist. Expected one of the Sleigh Bells songs of Treats, something from Shields as well. No Janelle Monae, no Story of OJ, Swan Dive from Waxahatchee. Lotta Charli XCX. Ok I'm done.

It's a weird list. I expect more hip-hop/rap songs.
October 8, 2019
Earl Sweatshirt's Solace should've been on there

"Pitchfork's 200 Favourite Rihanna, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj & Drake songs (this fills our diversity quota right?)"

P4K are so fake. All the way through the 2000s they trashed pop and mainstream music in general (and many of the artists featured here) and was pretty much the face of indie rock journalism. Shortly into the 2000s when guitar music was on its way out, they conveniently became popists and now trash the same indie darlings they fawned over.

First of all, even though it was placed at 17, Runaway (by ye) is too low.
Second of all, Sing about me, I’m dying of thirst should’ve been number one instead of Alright
I also think that runaway should at least be in the top 10
