AOTY 2020

i feel like i'm the only person who doesn't like dancing on my own. isn't it really corny? hasn't this self-empowerment message been done better and more subtle all decade like on DAMN. and lemonade and seat at the table and puberty 2 and like a bunch of other albums and songs? am I missing something here?

@bitterblossom12 I guess probably because you are not a new yorker(neither do i)

does every end of the decade list have to pay tribute to leftism and bring up politics?

@WeinorMilk i think you might be interested in the wrong art form if you want to avoid political discussion my guy

@chatburn I dont think so honestly. it's like the current discussion around deadspin and sports versus politics news being the main focus. sure you can argue that sports (music in this case) is inseparable from politics, but to me politics should only really be discussed or considered in inherently political works. i have no issue with that, but consequence of sound REALLY lets it bleed into their rankings for songs where it's not even making a political statement IMO
