this is an odd choice considering usher hasn’t done anything notable in the past 10 years, would’ve wanted someone a lot more relevant for today’s youth
this man had 9 number one hits on the billboard charts, he's a great performer, i think this pick makes sense even if he's not super relevant right now
i dont think its a weird or random ass pick like yall are implying in the comments. he has about 4 decades of hits, stellar stage presence and amazing vocals.
at least they didn't pick NSYNC like the rumors were saying, we do not want another JT super bowl right around the 20 year anniversary of the janet jackson incident
@Sleepershark Taylor keeps turning them down. They’re after the 35-55 demographic with this pick. I’m 31 and happy with it. Rodrigo would’ve definitely been a good zeitgeisty pick.
They should have chosen DJ Khaled seriously
He has:
Hits ☑️
Stage presence ☑️
Drakes phone number ☑️
Da Best Music ☑️
Golf skills ☑️
He’s sexy AF ☑️
He will bring out the whole ocean ☑️
"Only 2 hits" "He barely has any hits" Some of you need to do a quick Google search before showing your ignorance. And I doubt gen z is all the NFL think about. The average audience are an older demographic.
I mean Usher can sing but what has he even been doing lately? My prediction is it's just gonna be "a super bowl performance," one that isn't bad or good. Just a super bowl show.
the people in this comments are kinda oblivious and ignorant, he has decades of recognizable hits so it isnt extremely different from getting em snoop and all at the 22 one,, just because he isnt from this generation or extremely active rn doesnt mean he is a bad pick
What has he been doing lately? He has a residency in Vegas, I get it everyone on here is 15 but even then he had those tiktok moments "Watch This" with his NPR and Residency shows. Usher is by far the smartest choice, there aren't any other performers around? You know who can actually put on a choreographed show, not with a backing track playing and standing stiffly at the mic.
