I was sleeping on Dababy this whole time thinking he's just another generic rapper that will fall off within 2 years, but his XXL performance got me curious about this.
After a few listens, I can classify this as one of 2019's best, yes you heard it. Dababy has a monotonous yet animated dleivery, that accompany his humorous lyrics and flows very well. And the beats here also play a major role into that dynamic appeal in Dababy's performances, as they are simple but actually pretty creative most of the time with a crucial bass fortifying the songs value.
I'll actually go all the way saying that this might have on the trap sound the same influence Live.Love.A$AP had on cloud rap within 5 years, because the formula used here is effective, recyclable and entertaining.
